Established in 2011, the HONDURAN CONSERVATION COALITION (HOCC) is a network of conservationists and scientists that promotes citizen science, community-based conservation, and environmentally-friendly sustainable development in Honduras and elsewhere in the Mesoamerican Biodiversity Hotspot. We support biological and social research projects that help improve human livelihoods while protecting biodiversity and other environmental resources. Our affiliates include researchers and environmental activists who have made deep and lasting contributions to conservation and science in the region.
Establecido en 2011, la Coalición para la Conservación Hondureña (HOCC) es una red de conservacionistas y científicos que promueve la ciencia ciudadana, conservación comunitaria, y desarrollo sostenible en pro del medio ambiente – en Honduras y en otras partes de Mesoamerica. Iniciamos y apoyamos a proyectos que ayudan a mejorar las vidas humanas mientras protegen a la biodiversidad y otros recursos ambientales. Nuestros afiliados incuyen investigadores y activistas ambientales quienes han hecho contribuciones profundas y duraderas a la conservación y la ciencia en la región.
